Science in the News
On Fridays, each student in my Science 7 class is responsible for bringing in a recent
news article to class. The article can be from any recent news source and must discuss a scientific topic. Students read
their article and then write a summary to share with the class. So far we have learned about many science-y things...Mercury
in the St. Lawrence River, exotic frogs, a new disease spread by mosquitos, the continuing plight of the polar bears, etc.
